Welcome to MIC
SAFETY
It is important to understand that, like any sport, badminton is a game where injuries are a possibility. You are responsible for taking precautions (for example: stretching before and after playing, warming up before play, wearing safety goggles, dry mopping your court before use) to minimize risks.
If you are the last member to leave the club, you are responsible for turning off all lights and ensuring the door is locked.
GENERAL CLUB ETIQUETTE
The MIC Badminton Club works hard to maintain a friendly, tolerant, clean and safe environment that is fun for everyone. We rely on all members doing their part to help keep our club neat, clean and running smoothly. When you have any questions, concerns or suggestions, please feel free to approach the organizing committee volunteers.

Guests: Guests will not be accommodated except with prior permission
ON COURT RULES AND ETIQUETTE
Court Setup: ARRIVING TO YOUR SESSION 5 MINUTES EARLY OF START TIME TO HELP IN SET UP THE COURT/NETS WHICH WILL MAKE A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE TO HOW WELL AND TIMELY WE START SESSION WORKS OUT.
Dress Code: Appropriate gym clothing is required.
Keeping Courts Clean: MIC Center Mgmt will try their best to provide court in clean, however if in case not then It is recommended that you clean your court before your matches to avoid any accidents from debris/water left on the court
Footwear: Non-marking (no black soles) indoor-only court or athletic shoes that are carried in (not worn in from the car) are required when playing on the courts.
Shuttlecocks: The Plastic Yonex shuttlecock will be provided during session Cost of shuttlecocks covered from member fees. If any anyone want to bring their own birdies(only feather) they are allowed to do so with their own expense and with permission of coordinator.
Sharing Court Space: Three courts are available to play, the courts are restricted to Doubles play only, except during designated Singles time or not enough players are available. Games follow the 21-point rally point system. Players are divided into three categories based on their level of game and each court assigned to their respective category players A, B+ and B.
The SKILL LEVEL system will be determined the level/group of players. Playtime is 30 minutes mixed skill Level to warm-up and boost players to learn and adopt following last one-hour players will play with their own skill level

Crossing Behind Courts: It is a common courtesy, and safety precaution, when passing behind courts to wait between courts until the point played is complete. Players should pass behind the court quickly and in single file close to the wall with their group so as to not disrupt the flow of play.
Foul language will not be permitted
Players should have their own badminton rackets
Organizers will make the final decision to accommodate harmonious play
Players are encouraged to participate in Prayers before/after the play
Attendance will be taken to assess the level of commitment

Food or drinks will not be allowed except for bottled water or with prior permission
Safety Eye Wear: It is highly recommended for all players under 18 years of age to wear safety goggles meeting ASTM F803 standards when entering the courts for badminton, regardless of event type. It is highly recommended for adults too.
